1. Nature of the Retreat (Non-Medical Disclaimer)
The retreat is for educational and wellbeing purposes only and does not constitute medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Participants give informed consent to participate in meditation, breath work, movement, and energy-based practices and understand they may withdraw at any time.
2. General Participation & Assumption of Risk
Participation in this retreat is voluntary. Activities may include walking outdoors, time in wooded areas, meditation, Kundalini Activation (energy-based practice) and exposure to natural and aromatic substances. These activities carry inherent risks, including but not limited to minor injury, allergic reactions, emotional responses, or environmental hazards.
You are free to pause, opt out of, or leave any activity at any time without explanation.
No photography or recording will take place during the retreat without explicit consent.
3. Health Responsibility Statement
Participants confirm they are in suitable physical and mental health to take part and take full responsibility for their own well-being throughout the retreat. Any medical conditions must be disclosed in advance.
Participation may not be suitable for individuals who are:
-
Pregnant
-
Experiencing severe mental health conditions (including psychosis, schizophrenia, or severe PTSD)
-
Prone to seizures or epilepsy
-
Experiencing acute physical illness or injury
If any of the above apply, or if you are unsure, you must consult a qualified healthcare professional before attending and inform the organiser in advance.
4. Outdoor Walks & Woodland Risks
Outdoor activities may include walks and time spent in woodland areas. Risks may include uneven terrain, slips, trips, insect bites, plant irritation, weather conditions, and limited mobile signal. Participants are responsible for wearing appropriate clothing and footwear and for informing the facilitator of any relevant health conditions.
5. Essential Oils & Sensory Exposure
Essential oils and aromatic substances will be used during the retreat. Participants may experience sensitivities or allergic reactions. It is the participant’s responsibility to disclose any sensitivities and to refrain from using any substance they are unsure about.
6. Kundalini Activation
Kundalini Activation may involve deep relaxation and altered states of awareness. Some individuals may experience emotional release, physical sensations, or discomfort. This is not breath work, meditation, or movement-led practice. There is no effort or forcing involved. Each experience is unique and may include deep relaxation, emotional release, subtle or spontaneous movement, heightened awareness or a sense of clarity and connection.
These experiences are not a substitute for medical or psychological treatment, diagnosis, or advice. Participants who are taking medication that significantly affects the nervous system or emotional processing (including certain antidepressants, antipsychotics, or mood stabilisers) are advised that their experience of meditation or energy-based practices may feel different, more subtle, or reduced.
Participants with a history of mental health conditions (including but not limited to anxiety, depression, PTSD, psychosis, epilepsy, seizure disorders, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, any condition involving dissociation, hallucinations, or loss of reality testing) will not be able to take part in Kundalini Activation.
Participants understand they may withdraw from any practice at any time without explanation.
7. Food & Dietary Responsibility
Meals provided are home-prepared. While care is taken, the kitchen is not an allergen-free environment. Participants must disclose all allergies and dietary requirements in advance. The organiser cannot guarantee the absence of trace allergens.
8. Private Home Disclaimer
This retreat takes place in a private residence rather than a commercial venue. While reasonable care is taken to maintain a safe environment, participants acknowledge this is a domestic setting and agree to take responsibility for their personal safety and belongings. The organiser is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal property.
Participants agree to treat the space, furnishings, and all materials with care and respect. Any damage to property caused by a participant (whether intentional or through negligence) may be subject to repair or replacement costs. Participants are also expected to respect the personal belongings, privacy, and safety of others at all times.
Any inappropriate use, removal, or damage of property belonging to the organiser or other participants may result in being asked to leave the retreat.
9. Participant Conduct & Safety
The use of alcohol or recreational substances is not permitted during the retreat.
The organiser reserves the right to ask a participant to leave the retreat or any activity at any time if their behaviour is deemed unsafe, disruptive, or not in alignment with the well-being of the group.
This includes, but is not limited to, behaviour that may pose a risk to themselves or others, interfere with the experience of other participants, or not respect the space, boundaries, or guidelines of the retreat.

11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the organiser accepts no liability for injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in the retreat, except where caused by negligence.
Nothing in this agreement excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, in accordance with the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977.
